This Privacy Policy (“Privacy Policy”) applies solely to the online information gathering and data sharing practices of TVS REGZA Corporation ("TVS") for the TSB-SmartHome.com ("Website"), and related services, devices and/or applications (collectively the "Toshiba Smart Home Services") and does not apply to other Toshiba affiliates, our parent company or any third parties, including third party products that are connected to any device, such as Amazon's Alexa voice service.

This Privacy Policy applies to all personal information TVS collects, regardless of whether the information is collected when you use the Website, through any compatible device (“Device”) or other equipment you purchase from TVS or any other entity that is designed to work with Toshiba Smart Home Services, through our downloadable software such as the Toshiba Smart Home mobile application, or relating to other services TVS may provide to you in connection with a Device. The application of our Privacy Policy remains subject to applicable laws including legislation, regulations and the orders of any courts or other lawful authorities, other lawful requests or legal processes. By using Toshiba Smart Home Services, you agree to the terms of this Privacy Policy.

Your privacy is important to TVS. This policy provides you with information about the type of personally identifiable information that is gathered and tracked through Toshiba Smart Home Services, how the information is used, stored, secured and with whom the information is shared. In general, you can visit the Website without providing any information about yourself. However, there might be times when we may need information from you or we obtain information about you when you or others provide us with such information. By using Toshiba Smart Home Services, you agree to the terms provided in this Privacy Policy.

Collection of Personal Information

We may collect certain personally identifiable information about you, including, without limitation, your name, address, e-mail address, domain name, client IP address, phone number and information about the products or services you purchase or obtain from us ("Personal Information"). This Personal Information is collected, in general, from information you provide to us through Toshiba Smart Home Services when you complete a product registration, application or product setup, through your survey responses or rebate forms, and/or through your filling out and submitting forms through the Website requesting information from TVS. With your consent, we may also collect your precise geographic location information via Toshiba Smart Home Services.

We also may collect information, including Personal Information, through our application software, which is governed by our Terms of Use. Information collected includes, without limitation, your name, encrypted password, phone number, email address, IP address, geographic location, and environmental data (temperature, humidity and brightness) from your Device, and any video clips that you record. Through your use of the Toshiba Smart Home Services, we may also collect and share information (directly or indirectly) through third-parties service providers such as the Apple “App Store” and Google’s “Play Store.” Further, we may collect and use information gathered from your use of third-party sensors, such as ZigBee, Z-Wave and others, including information regarding rules and other customizations you create. You authorize us and trusted third party service providers we work with to host and store such environmental data and video clips for the purpose of providing you Toshiba Smart Home Services. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your password. Video clips may be viewed only from a Device that is authorized to access those video clips. We will not make your video clips that are transmitted through Toshiba Smart Home Services publicly available.

Access to Your Information and Opting Out

You may opt out of receiving marketing information from us by unsubscribing using the link on any email you receive from us. If you opt out of receiving our marketing information, we may still send you certain types of communications, such as product updates for your registered products, transactional or legal notification emails, warranty related communications and responses to requests from you by email. We will try to process your opt out request within ten business days.

Although via the Website we may collect Personal Information about your online activities using the Website over time, we do not collect such information from you about your activities on third party web sites. We do not respond to “do not track” signals, if any, being sent from your browser. Furthermore, we permit select third parties to collect non-personal information about your online activities over time and across different web sites when you use the Website or Toshiba Smart Home Services. Use and Sharing of Personal Information

We do not sell your Personal Information. We may use your Personal Information to contact you about products you have purchased, inform you of product and service opportunities that may be of interest to you, to conduct market research regarding TVS products or services, to customize the content of Toshiba Smart Home Services for you, to support and enhance our communications with you, or for other business purposes. We have an international presence, and you agree that to facilitate the use or functioning of our services, your Personal Information may be processed or stored in various international locations, including Japan and the United States of America. TVS does not seek to collect Personal Information about children through Toshiba Smart Home Services.
